Pictures of Antwerp: City: Pedestrian tunnel under the Scheldt
| The pedestrian tunnel (or St-Anna tunnel) was as a Santa Klaus gift to the Antwerpians opened on December 6th, 1932 but it was therefore not for free at that time (10 cents/crossing). It's building lasted between 1931 and 1932. It is 527 meter long buried 31 meter under ground and water. It is located on the St-Jansvliet. Almost in front of the Scheldt (Zuiderterras). | ||
