| De Kruidentuin or botanical garden created in1826 as a garden growing plants for the medical school of the St-Elizabeth hospital nearby. In 1884 it was arranged with pedagogic purposes and open to the public since. | ||

Here you will find a winter garden, a glass house and an orangery. One of the buildings in the background is in fact an old 17th Century covered shooting range. The emblems of the "Schuttersgilde" (bows) could still be seen. | |
